walking and laughing..... yeah.... I know that feeling..... laughing and laughing and other pilgrims understand....you are having a good time! Hope your foot feels better sometime.... Enjoy Leon!
Jo, finally! It's taken me until now to work out how to post a comment on these fandangled blog-thingies... I may have to get some tips from you on return! :) Yay for you - go girl, you guys are both doing a brilliant job!! I've been following your every step and am so proud of the way you have remained so focused yet so fluid with your experience. If only we all had your insight at 17! Col sent you a note several days ago, not sure if you're checking your mail. If not, just know that we are both with you willing on your every step. Enjoy the journey Jo, while it may not feel like it some days, the Camino is planting seeds that will live on in you a long time after your return. Remember, little by little, step by step... but enjoy your down-time too 'ey! :) Love and best wishes, Eli x
Jo - the weather report is not good for next week, snow and sleet on the way. Staying in Leon for a few days may be a good thing because after that you'll be heading into the Irago Mountains and it is bound to snow there. Keep warm peregrina, stay safe and big HUG!
I guess it's too late to help you, but one tip I'd picked up to avoid bedbugs was to spread a tarp or groundsheet over the mattress. A rain poncho might also do the trick, although if it's dripping wet you may want to hang it up to dry instead.
I blogged my way across the camino...variety of reasons..I found that it sometimes became a bit of a pain at the end of some long days... what started out as a good idea turned into some days an anxious search for access and then feeling that many pilgrims were waiting....so I just learned to enjoy the walk day by day and come what may with the blog. hope that you are enjoying the journey and ...blogs and bedbugs!!!!... you are going great..christmas blessings
'Camino' is the Spanish word for 'way,' often referring to the Camino de Santiago, where this blog begins and one day will end. After arriving in Santiago, this blog now follows a slightly crazy Australian pilgrim making her own way through a year of life in Germany and travel in Europe.
